The State Industrial Technical Institute "E. Mattei" begins its activity in Vasto (Italy) in the school year 1962-63; it is a secondary level education center and consists of
•Scientific Lyceum option Applied Sciences (13 classes)
•Technical Institute - Technological Sector (32 classes) with specializations in:
- Chemical-materials-biotechnology
- Electronic-Electrical
- IT- telecommunication
- Mechanics and mechatronics
The Institute founded in 2010 the “Higher Technical Institute in Mechanical and Mechatronic sector” According to the specific objectives of Erasmus+ programme, the participation of the school in this project aims at
- Creating opportunities to exchange of good practices with other European schools and improving practices already adopted in each school
- Enhancing the skills in STEM Education of the teachers and the students involved directly and indirectly in the project -Supporting the development of the basic and cross-curricular skills of learners in their professional training, which is work-oriented
-Improving quality, innovation and internationalization of the school education and training through transnational cooperation and being aware of new methods and tools to support education and training
- Contribute to the modernization process of local training systems in a European perspective
- Developing networks and partnerships at European level by raising the awareness of the Labour Market in a European dimension and promoting the EU citizenship awareness of the school students and teachers
-Transmit a work culture that fosters adaptability to change and flexibility to work in the European area.
